Airbus A330 is commercial passenger aircraft developed by Airbus. It is a wide-body, large capacity airliner. It was developed simultaneously with Airbus A340.The basic design of the fuselage of A330 is derived from Airbus A300. The fly-by-wire technique, cockpit section and flight-deck are inherited from A320.There are two chief variants of Airbus A330; one is Airbus A330-300 which entered into service in 1993. Launched in the year 1995 A330-200 is another version which has tanker, freighter and passenger versions.A330-200 has the engines and wings of A330-300 and A340-200 fuselage. The vertical fin of A330-200 is higher than A330-300 version. A 330-200 has extra fuel capacity. The MTOW of Airbus A330-300 is 233 tonnes. The passenger strength is 253 in the three-class pattern and the range is 12,500 km or 6,750 nautical miles.
Rolls Royce Trent 700, Pratt& Whitney PW4000 or General Electric CF6-80E engines empower the A330-200 aircraft. It was first delivered in 1998 in the month of April to Canada 3000.The volumetric payload is 36.4. The landing weight (maximum) is 180(182)t.A330-200F is a freighter version of A300-200.This is a long-haul, mid size and all cargo aircraft. A330-200F can carry 64 tonnes at the height of 4,000 nm or 7,400 km or at the height of 3,200 nm or 5,930 km can carry up to 69 tonnes. A330-300 entered the industry in 1993. The range of A330-300 is 10,500 km or 5,650 nm.The cargo capacity of this aircraft is huge.
