Subsidiary of EADS N.V, an aerospace concern f Europe Airbus S.A.S manufactures aircrafts. Airbus S.A.S or Airbus Industries is based in France with chief hub in Toulouse. Airbus produces a great percentage of airliners in the world.The Airbus Industries or Airbus Industrie was founded in 1970. Airbus is a simplified joint stock company or S.A.S as per the French law. EADS has 80% of share and BAE Systems has 20% of share in Airbus. EADS and BAE Systems are two big shot defense contarctors of Europe. Formally Airbus Industrie was established in 1970 after an agreement between Deutsche Airbus and Sud-Aviation. CASA, based in Spain joined in 1971.

The first aircraft produced by Airbus was Airbus A300. In 1974 A300B2 was introduced into service. By 1979, 81 aircrafts were in service. With the launch of A321 Airbus entered the aviation industry with aplomb. Even before the first flight there were 400 orders of Airbus A321.A 300 was the first twin engine and twin aisle aircraft in the world. It has seating strength of 228 to 254. Airbus A300 first flew in 1972 on 28th October. A310 has a seating capacity of 187 to 279 maximum. This aircraft was launched in July 1978. First flight of Airbus A310 took place in 1982 on 3rd April. A318 is a twin engine and single aisle aircraft. Seating capacity of A318 is 107 to 117(maximum). The aircraft was launched in 1999 April. A318 first flew in 2002 on 15th January. A 319 is a two-engine and single aisle aircraft with seating strength of 124 and 156 is the maximum seating capacity of the aircraft. A 319 was launched in 1993 in the month of June. A 319 first flew in 1995 on 25th August.

A320 is single aisle and two engine aircraft with seating capacity of 150. The maximum seating strength is 180. A 321 was launched in 1984 on March. The maiden flight of A321 took place in 1993 on 11th March.A 330 was launched in 1987 June and first flight was on 2nd November 1992.The latest trailblazer is the A380, the superjumbo aircraft with a maximum seating capacity of 853. It was launched on 2002 and the test flight took place in Toulouse in 2005 on 27th April.Airbus Industrie aircrafts make journey better for everyone.
