Philadelphia International Airport

The city of Philadelphia is the largest city of Pennsylvania and it is also known to be the sixth largest populous city of the United States and it is the county seat of the country of Philadelphia (a country located in the United States). Philadelphia is also known as 'The City of Brotherly Love' and getting to this city is not a problem at all for the reason that the Philadelphia International Airport is served by innumerous airlines.

The Philadelphia International Airport is the largest airport of the region of the Delaware Valley and at present it is considered to be the 9th busiest airport in the world as far as aircraft activity is concerned. The U.S Airways' is this airport's international hub.

This airport features seven terminal buildings that are divided into seven lettered concourses and Terminal A East, A West, B, C, D are inter connected and you can make use of any of the terminals easily and there are shuttle buses available that offers services between Terminal F and Terminal C and between Terminal A and Terminal F.

The inauguration of the Concourse A (one of the new terminal buildings) took place in the year 2003 and except Canada all the international airlines as well as all the domestic flights of the U.S Airways serves this concourse and the names of the international airlines that serves the Concourse A West are the Air France, Air Jamaica, Lufthansa, US Airways and the Frontier Airlines. The Concourse A West is connected directly to A West, B, C and D and it is served by the American Airlines, Midwest Airlines and a few other airlines as well.

The Concourse B and the Concourse C are the two terminals of the US Airways and the food court, shopping mall and a marketplace connects these terminals. The airlines that have extended their services to these two terminals are the US Airways, US Airways operated by the Republic Airlines and the US Airways operated by the America West Airlines. The Concourse D is specially meant for the Southwest Airlines and it is presently undergoing renovation and the airlines that serves this concourse are the Air Tan Airways, Air Canada, Air Canada Jazz, United Airlines, Continental Airlines and a few other airlines as well. The airlines that have extended their services to the Concourse E are the Delta Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Southwest Airlines
