History of Air Ivoire
The Air Ivoire airline was established on December 14, 1960 and its operations started from August 1964. Until January 1976, Sodetraf, Air Afrique and UTA were having an interest in the Air Ivoire airline, when the Cote d'Ivoire government acquired all the shares of the airline.
| At first known as Air Ivoire, the airline ceased its operations in September 1999 because of some financial problems. Then in the year 2001, the Air Ivoire airline was acquired by AAA that owned 51% by AIG and Air France. The company changed its name to Nouvelle Air Ivoire and resumed its operations. The airline from then onwards reverted to its original title.
