The Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia operates the Chinggis Khaan International Airport. The airport is located in Ulan Bator. This airport also happens to be the biggest international air base in the country and also the only airport to operate international flights.This is the main base that serves the MIAT Mongolian Airlines, Aero Mongolia and Eznis Airways. Initially the airport was called Buyant Ukhaa Airport before it was named as Chinggis Khaan (Genghis Khan) International Airport for marking the celebration of the 800th anniversary of the Mongolian State, which was on December 21 in the year 2005.

The Altai Airport, Govi-Altai happens to be a public airport that is situated in Altai that is the capital city of Govi-Altai Province. The Arvaikheer Airport, which is also operated by Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia, is located in the capital of Övörkhangai Province in Arvaikheer. The Baruun-Urt Airport is in Baruun-Urt, which is the capital of Sükhbaatar Province. The Bayankhongor Airport is located in Bayankhongor, which is the capital of Bayankhongor Province. Aero Mongolia (Ulan Bator), Eznis Airways (Ulan Bator) and Scat Air (Ust-Kamenogorsk) operate flights from this airport. The Bulgan Airport operates flights through MIAT Mongolian Airlines to Mörön, Ulan Bator and Khovd. The Choibalsan airport operates flights through Aero Mongolia (Ulan Bator) and Eznis Airways (Ulan Bator).
