St. Vincent & Grenadines is one of the most important tourist destinations in the Carribean islands, with its perfect romantic setting and unique culture and festivities. With tourism being one of the important industries here, traveling to and from St. Vincent & Grenadines and between the islands is easy and an unique experience. There are several routes from which you can reach these islands, though there is no direct flight from UK, US and Canada. To reach St. Vincent & Grenadines, you need to take connecting flights from the important islands of Grenada, Barbados, Puerto Rico, Trinidad, St. Lucia and Martinique, which would connect you to islands such as St. Vincent, Bequia, Canouan, Mustique and Union Islands. There are several international airlines which will take you to the gateways, with some of them being Air Canada, British Airways, American Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Carribean Airlines, Air Jamaica and Air France.
Once you reach the gateways, in order to reach St. Vincent & Grenadines, you could also take one of the connecting airlines such as LIAT the Star of the Carribean, SVG Air, American Eagle, Mustique Airways and Trans Island Air. While most of the gateways are at a comfortable distance from St. Vincent & Grenadines, it takes only 20 minutes from St. Lucia, while it takes almost 2 hours and 20 minutes from Puerto Rico.
| While there are several scheduled flights for inter-island travel, there is also available charter service from such companies as Mustique Airways and SVG Air. American Eagle and LIAT the Star of the Carribean offer many scheduled flights to the different islands as well. There are six airports in St. Vincent & Grenadines, with the largest one being E.T. Joshua Airport, located at Kingstown, the capital of St. Vincent. Besides these, there are four small domestic airports in the islands of Mustique, Bequia, Union Island and Canouan.

Transportation to and from the E.T. Joshua Airport is easy, with taxis being the common mode of transport. The taxi fares are set by the government itself. While traveling to the airport, make sure you have some extra time in hand. The peak season of visiting St. Vincent & Grenadines is from November to March. Consequently, hotel rates and airfares usually shoot up during the time. Another period during which the airfare does rise is from June to July, that is, during the Carnival festivities in these islands. All the more reason, why you need to plan your visit to the St. Vincent & Grenadines from much before hand.
