The Piarco International Airport, on the other hand, is situated about 25 kilometers from Port of Spain, the capital of Trinidad.

Some of the airlines which are served at this airport are Carribean Airlines, L.I.A.T, Air Canada, ALM Antillean Airways, North American Airline, American Airlines, Surinam Airways, Helen Air and Amerijet, among others. The airport too offers several shopping facilities to the travelers, including duty free shopping, restaurants and banking facilities. Both the airports in Trinidad and Tobago are important transit points for tourists and visitors from all across the globe.
Traveling in Trinidad and Tobago is easy, for the islands are well connected both within and without with a well managed public transportation system. However, do be aware of the fact that the airport can become extremely crowded during the peak season, with flight delays being a common phenomenon. To avail the air bridge between the two islands, you can book tickets from either the airport itself or over the internet.
