The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is a small country in Western Europe and is bordered by its neighboring countries Belgium, France, and
Germany. The state owned Luxair is the most prominent carrier in the
country and is headquartered at the city of Luxembourg. Founded in 1961,
Luxair has developed and grown to a good position. In total Luxair has sixteen aircrafts in total and caters to over 53 destinations. The most
important destinations that Luxair serves are Barcelona, Berlin, London,
Madrid, Milan, Paris, Roma and Vienna. Almost all the destinations of Luxair are

the introduction of the airline's first jet airliner. It was a Caravelle
built by Sud Aviation in Toulouse. The fleet of Luxair airline was further strengthened by
the bringing into operation its first Boeing aircraft, a Boeing 737-200.
With every passing decade this airline of Luxembourg has witnessed a considerable growth and expansion. Presently, the maximum percentage of Luxair airline is owned by the Luxembourg Government, Luxair Group and others, Lufthansa, Banque et Caisse d'Epargne de I'Etat, Dexia/ BIL, Banque Generale de Luxembourg and Panalpia World Transport.
