Founded on the 16th of January in 1994, Macedonian Airlines began operating its flights on the 23rd of June in 1994 by serving a flight on a Boeing 737-200 to Zurich from Skopje. Macedonian Airlines obtained a B737-300 on a dry lease from CIT in 2004 November and acquired its first privately owned plane in 2006 April.
