Air Labrador provides convenient flights in the domestic lines along the fringes of Newfoundland, Labrador and Quebec in Canada. The main headquarters of the Labrador Airways Limited that operates under the name of Air Labrador is in St. John's Newfoundland. The organization is a member of the Pike Group of companies. Established in the year 1948 the flights of Air Labrador started with a float equipped aircraft from the base station at Gander in Newfoundland. These early airlines plansed to be from Gander to Northern Newfoundland and Labrador with charter, mail and freight work. Soon the company headquarter was transferred to Goose Bay where it is still located.
The company was purchased by Provincial Investment Incorporate owned by Roger Pike along with the subsidiary concern known as Labrador Aviation Services Limited in the year 1983. Since then the Air Labrador is a property of the Pikes. Today the Air Labrador gives flights for 30 destinations in Canada with 12 destinations in the state of Quebec, also including Newfoundland and the destinations along the fringes of the neighboring territories getting wide popularity among the public.
