During that time, Pilgrim also provided Air Charter Services from Waterford, CT. Seeing a need for additional service, Action Air was started in Groton, CT in 1979. The name was changed in 1984 and it became "Action Airlines and Action Air Charters" which started to reflect the Commuter Airline scheduled operations. The airlines have now discontinued their Commuter operations and are back to their roots as an Air Charter Service.
