The Falkland Islands comprises two main islands an a few smaller islands in the South Atlantic Ocean towards the east coast of the southern South America. The Falkland Islands are an archipelago in the South Atlantic Ocean, located 300 miles from the coast of Argentina. Before 1972, there was no airport in this place with a paved runway and usually all the trips on the island were done by boat. In the year 1971, the Argentina Air Force first started its service in the island and from the Comodoro Rivadavia with Grumman HU-16B Albatross aircraft operated by LADE, Argentina's military airline.
